About
Funded by the American Heart Association, the SPH Heart Scholars program is a highly selective and intensive research program that provides undergraduate students at Indiana University an opportunity to work with a faculty sponsor on research related to cardiovascular health. The program takes place primarily during the fall semester (but can start earlier during the summer) and culminates in applying to present the results of the work at a national scientific conference and the School of Public Health’s Student Research Day. SPH Heart Scholars receive compensation of up to $3,000 and up to $1,500 to use for research expenses and travel to a conference to present research findings.
